Sorry it's been so long since I posted a challenge! OK, sorta inspired by "Elf Yourself" (if you haven't tried it, do it! Super fun!)
1) Open a blank canvas to the final print size you’d like. For a 4x6 card, I would do a 12x8 document (like pictured).
2) Open your photo that you want to cut the face/object from and choose the lasso tool – feather to 2 px – trace around your face/object you want to paste – complete the circle – then little blinky’s will appear.
3) “Right click” – “layer via copy” – then drag your face/object to your canvas.
4) Erase any unwanted areas if you’d like – use a hard-edged brush at 100% - ctrl-Alt-Z if you make a mistake.
5) If you want your face/object to look like a sticker (like I did on our faces), choose “edit” and “stroke” and stroke to around 15px in white.
6) Keep repeating above until you achieve the effect you’d like. Remember you can resize by Ctrl-T (hold the shift key down while you resize from 1 of the 4 corners).
Here I used Heather's Spookalicious green paper as the background, and the border from Spookalicious, then I layered her piecy patterns all over - left side (2) and right side (newsprint). Then I used the eclectic kit for the heart (blending mode = color burn) and the newsprint (blending mode = overlay), monthly memories (talk bubble), fonts = rage (family), CK adore (our 2007), Heather's Rosey Outlook (Claire's belt, my dress), and RME La Femme altered stuff (cat, dog's hat, Claire's outfit, my pink body, rik rak, my wings)
